Cooking lobster can be intimidating. Not only do the things looks like weird prehistoric sea creatures, but they’re also still alive when you bring them into your kitchen. I have surfed the net for the easiest way to cook a lobster. Here it is.
Fill a large pot with 2 inches of water and enough salt to make it taste like the sea. Bring it to a boil over high heat. Place a 1-pound lobster in the pot and steam for 8 to 10 minutes. Steaming cooks lobster more evenly and doesn’t wash out all the flavor like boiling does. Use tongs to remove the lobster from the pot and place it on a large plate with warm butter.
