What part of the house do you think is the dirtiest? You haven't thought of the kitchen, have you? The possibility of hosting different types of germs is due to the fact that you are preparing uncooked meats and farm produce.
But you don't need to fret, here are some quick tricks to cleaning your kitchen.
The kitchen sink is where everything gets tossed into. We put raw food, scraps, and dirty dishes in here. It is also constantly wet, which creates a perfect habitat for germs and bacteria. Washing the sink with water may not be enough. It is advisable to clean the sink with disinfectant every night after cleaning up your dirty dishes.
Sponges get rub onto different surfaces most of the time. It is better to have different sponges for different surfaces or tasks. Get a dedicated sponge for your dishes and a different sponge for cleaning your countertops and other areas of the kitchen.
Make sure that your cutting boards are always cleaned after use. Use different cutting boards for meat and for farm produce. For wood cutting boards, you may apply some mineral oil every month to help seal crevices.
The faucet is where we sometimes drape our cleaning cloths. It is better to avoid draping your clean cloths on the faucet. You spray some disinfectant on the faucet during the time you are cleaning the sink as well.
Lastly, the refrigerator. Don't forget to wipe clean the handle always. Regularly clean your refrigerator drawers and don't forget to throw out leftovers on you refrigerator.
